Moulin de Bassilour
Immersion in the heart of an artisan production of one of the most beautiful Basque traditions.
Discover a water mill with a horizontal wheel, in operation since 1741, as well as the grinding of corn and wheat grains with stone millstones. The water of the river is held back by a dam to create a height of fall that will be the mill's source of energy.
Artisanal production of shortbread, Basque cakes, farmhouse breads, metures (corn flour breads) and loaves (aniseed corn cakes).
