Fromage Tambourin
In Saint-Etienne-de-Baïgorry, the Tambourin family lives at the Enautenea farm.
At the foot of Mount Jara and in the heart of the Irouleguy vineyard, the large Bas-Navarra-style house has known several generations since the 18th century. The surrounding meadows and mountain pastures are ideal for growing grass and raising dairy sheep.
Noëlie, Jean-François, Michel and Guillaume Tambourin have turned to the breeding of red-headed Manech ewes and the production of raw milk Ossau-Iraty cheese.
In addition to the cheeses, we produce home-made preserves.
Tasting and sale of Ossau Iraty cheese and home-made preserves. Possibility to attend the milking at 17:30 from December to the end of June without appointment.
Visit of the farm on Fridays at 10:30 am in July and August, by appointment the rest of the year.
