Ferme Ekiola
On the way to Santiago de Compostela, 10 km from Saint Jean Pied de Port, in the heart of the village of Gamarthe, you will find our farm and especially our sheep cheese EKIOLA, AOP Ossau-Iraty and Bleu/Blanc/Coeur. But also our ewe's camembert, our yoghurts and our soft ewe's milk cheese.
As transhumant shepherds in summer, we take our ewes on summer pastures to the mountains of Iraty. The authenticity of the cheese is anchored in tradition and is guaranteed by the Ossau-Iraty PDO.
Thanks to a demanding and constant policy of quality research of our products, we have highlighted the importance of omega 3 and understood their benefits. Since 2000, we have been committed to the Blue/White/Heart approach, which promotes a diet rich in omega 3.
