Balade communale de Ciboure - Ziburuko hiri ibilaldia

Ciboure, located between the Bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the River Nivelle, is a commune of 6250 inhabitants steeped in its maritime history. The link between Ciboure and Saint-Jean-de-Luz is symbolized by a bridge that gave the commune its Basque name, Ziburu, meaning "bridgehead". Once prosperous thanks to fishing and canning, its seafaring past remains an integral part of its identity. The narrow streets and buildings of the historic center bear witness to this attachment, from the church of Saint-Vincent to the facades of the Quai Maurice Ravel. The Bordagain tower, 120 metres above the sea, offers a breathtaking view of the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the Fort of Socoa.
