La Ferme Barrère

On the hills above Monein, this poultry farm focuses exclusively on traditional and organic processing.

Self-sufficient in terms of feed, it grows organic cereals (corn and soya) to feed the poultry raised on the farm, and also manufactures feed for laying hens and chickens, sold to fellow farmers and also to private individuals in bags for their hens.

The Barrère farm ensures that animal welfare is an integral part of every stage of the farming process. It has chosen to produce the "bare-neck" breed, particularly appreciated for its tender, tasty flesh. The farm's products include chicken preserves in tarragon, lemon or plain jelly, chicken liver pâté (plain or with chilli), chicken basquaise, chicken gizzard confit...
