Sylvie and Marc's farm is located in the village of Lanne en Barétous. At the beginning of June, they and their family make the transhumance to the Lèche estive at Pierre Saint-Martin, on the border with Spain. For a few days, the ewes graze on the Lèche mountain before setting off for the Spanish side. After a daily route, supervised and guided by the shepherd, the flock crosses the Countendé to return to the starting point, drink, be milked and sleep near the hut. Pure ewe's milk cheese is made, matured and sold on site. In July and August, visitors are welcomed during the weekly "Meet the Shepherd" program, as well as during the 2 "Cabanes ouvertes" events.
Marc and Sylvie were born and raised in shepherd families, and remain attached to the traditions handed down from generation to generation.
