A hike in a landscape that combines large pastoral areas and more intimate forested areas on wide slopes, with a steady slope both uphill and downhill.
Reach Pau (Pyrénées Atlantiques), follow signs for Zaragoza as far as Gan, then take the D934 towards Laruns, Gourette, Spain (Col du Pourtalet), Col d'Aubisque. In Louvie-Juzon, turn left onto the D35, then immediately right onto the D240 towards Castet. In Castet, turn left onto Chemin du Port de Castet. The starting point of the loop is on the plateau at the end of the road.
