Le Père

André is no longer young and is showing the first signs of mental decline. This is what prompts Anne, his daughter, to suggest that he move into the large apartment she shares with her husband. She believes this will help her father, whom she has loved so much and who still makes her laugh. But things don’t quite go as planned: the man who moves in with her turns out to be a surprising, colorful character, and he’s not at all willing to give up his independence... Both irascible and distraught, he gradually loses his mind and regresses to childhood under his daughter’s tear-filled gaze. It’s not so easy to accept that one day we’ll become our children’s children.
