Ferme Lanouté

Located in Sévignacq-Meyracq, 27 kms from Pau and 15 kms from Laruns, the Lanouté farm is specialized in the breeding of 400 Basque-Béarnaise ewes and 12 Alpine brown dairy cows

All the milk is produced on the farm and transformed into farm cheese made from pure ewe's milk, cow's milk, mixed milk and greuil. They have won several prizes at the departmental competitions in Oloron, Laruns and at the Concours Agricole de Paris: bronze medal in 2018 and silver in 2019. Every year they go to the mountain pastures; in summer, they sell their products in their shop at the Col du Pourtalet. Visits are possible by appointment from November to May.
