In the year 2026, we are commemorating the 400th anniversary of the death of Théophile de Viau, which occurred on September 25, 1626.
Once the official poet of King Louis XIII’s court, he experienced many setbacks in both his professional and personal life.
The museum’s resource center houses a 1624 work, written entirely in Latin by Théophile de Viau, which he composed while in prison!
