Village des Sciences

Located in Sokoburu, the Village des Sciences aims to popularize science by inviting it into the public arena.

Home to Abbadia, the Château-Observatoire and the Académie des Sciences, Hendaye Tourisme & Commerce is keen to position the town as the "Science Capital of the Basque Country".

Launched in 2018, the Science Village takes place every year on the 2nd weekend of October at Sokoburu in Hendaye. A Fête de la Science? event, it offers a wide range of free activities, with the support of some fifteen scientific players.

After the exploration of intelligences in 2025? this edition will explore the links between science and food: from the chemistry of taste to the biology of living organisms, from human sciences to culinary innovations, from gastronomic traditions to contemporary issues?
