TUTU – Philippe LAFEUILLE

In 20 tableaux, the mischievous but demanding choreographer revisits dance in its entirety: classical, contemporary, sports, rhythmic, acrobatic, ballroom and television! His show is full of fantasy and technical skill. His six dancers, members of his Chicos Mambo company, demonstrate unparalleled virtuosity, and some even excel in the art of pointe! Indispensable when it comes to reworking Swan Lake? in a more than a little wobbly fashion, and with a sense of humor to boot! The show is packed with nods to the history of dance, from Pina Bausch to Danse avec les stars. This parodic and poetic tribute is also an opportunity for Philippe Lafeuille to attack clichés about masculinity. Here, they take a beating, right where it counts. And it feels really good! Almost 10 years after its creation, Tutu has not aged a bit. A classic!
