Spectacle Fantasio

After a summer tour in 2025 that drew more than 1,200 audience members, "Fantasio" is back on stage!

"Fantasio" is a two-act comedy written by Alfred de Musset and published in 1833. Everyone is invited to come celebrate the Princess’s wedding. But they hadn’t counted on the death of St. Jean, the king’s jester. Fantasio, a daring and insolent young man, then decides to don his costume. This act overturns the established order and opens up a world where love, freedom, and theater become possible once again. Directed by Emile Lacoste, this production is brought to life by a young troupe of actors dressed in medieval-inspired costumes, this contemporary adaptation celebrates the power of theater to set the world in motion once again. Fantasio is a declaration of love for theater in its ability to sustain within us that which is alive, that which invents and dreams.
