Sortie nature CPIE Pays Basque : "Pirenaika, la vache basque"

The Pirenaika cow, the local breed of the Basque Country once found on both sides of the Pyrenees, had practically disappeared by the 1970s. In France, it reappeared in the 2010s thanks to a group of breeders committed to perpetuating the breeding of an ancient breed. This outing will be an opportunity to meet a breeder and discover his animals raised according to a transhumant system that respects their natural cycle and the seasons.
