The delicate and inspired drummer Matthieu Chazarenc reunites with accordionist Laurent Derache for a duo brimming with freedom and lyricism. Together, they breathe new life into the “thrill box,” building on the chemistry they’ve developed since 2017 as part of the Canto quartet.

This collaboration gives rise to a rare chemistry, inviting the audience on a musical journey of great intensity.

The program features compositions by both musicians, as well as certain melodies drawn from French chanson and film scores that are close to their hearts.

This concert is also part of the “off-program” lineup of Jazz à Pau.
