Randonnée sur la Promenade Horizontale des Eaux Bonnes : l'histoire de la forêt pyrénéenne et des arbres de l'Impératrice

As we walk along the Promenade Horizontale, we'll discover the riches of the Pyrenean forest, and look back on its eventful history since its arrival 15,000 years ago, when the glaciers melted. We'll learn how to read the landscape around us, recognize the trees that make up this mountain forest, and learn about the flora and fauna with their emblematic species, some of which are threatened.

It's also an opportunity to revisit the history of the resort, intimately linked to that of Empress Eugénie, and that of this walk, with its remarkable trees and 19th-century romanticism.

2km walk (AR) on flat ground. Duration 2 hours. Bring walking shoes and (if necessary) warm clothing.
