Randonnée : le brame du cerf

Ramondia is a group of mountain guides from the Basque Country who will take you on a hike to discover the secrets of the Iraty forest in Soule.

As summer draws to a close, a symphony of nature sounds in the forest. The stags and hinds are entering a period of intense activity: the rut. In their quest for their sweetheart, the bucks signal their presence with the famous bellowing that echoes through the valleys. After an afternoon's hiking in search of clues to the ungulate's passage, we'll sit down to a picnic and listen to these sonorous jousts until the sun sets. This is an easy 5.2 km hike with a 200 m ascent, for ages 8 and up. The number of participants is limited to 15. Bookings required at the Office de Tourisme Pays Basque.
