Randonnée géologique - Le chemin de la Mâture

An exceptional loop trail on a path/trail carved out of 350-million-year-old solid rock/limestone! Completed in 1772, the Chemin de la Mâture ends at the point on the Sescoué or Ruisseau de l'Enfer. It was dug and used to reach the Bois de Pacq fir-beech forest, for the Royal Navy.

From age 10, 700m ascent. Bring hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, sun protection, water and a picnic.
