Randonnée accompagnée Mendi Gaiak : rando-pelote sur les collines

After a walk through the hills, you'll discover an original site in the heart of the mountains: the Ahaizemendi pelota court, testimony to the historical and cultural importance of Basque pelota. Much more than just a sport, it's a genuine tradition rooted in local culture. Your guide will introduce you to the various disciplines of this emblematic sport and traditional game: the bare hand (ball hit directly with the hands), the pala (wooden racket) and finally, the chistera (wicker basket attached to a leather glove).

Level: Easy (good physical condition and good footwear). Distance: 4.5 km. D: + 150 m. Duration: 3h (2x15 min transfer+1h30 hike+1h pelota). Minimum age: 6 years. Lunch available at Auberge "Etxeko Borda" next to the fronton (reservation recommended). Outing for 4 to 17 people max. Registration before 12 noon the same day.
