Arancou is a historic stopover on one of the hiking routes to Santiago de Compostela, the Via de Tours (via turonensis), the hospital-priory that welcomed pilgrims as early as the 13th century. Along the way, the surrounding hills of the Bidouze valley promise a breath of fresh air in the forest, where you'll come across some beautiful hundred-year-old oaks.
