Lectures Flottantes

Pierre Loti, a naval officer, writer, and member of the Académie Française, lived in Hendaye for 32 years and fell in love with the Basque Country.

The Association Les Amis de Pierre Loti in Hendaye and the Basque Country, in partnership with the Association Trois Mèts Basque, presents its 2026 “Floating Readings” program.

Climb aboard the sardine boat *l’Alba* and let yourself be taken to places familiar to the writer, highlighted in his works, which will be read and discussed by members of the association.

Reservations required.

For ages 6 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For safety reasons and due to the boat’s certification requirements, the number of participants is strictly limited to 12 people per trip.
