The tour begins in the park, with the herbalist's office and its medicinal plant garden, known as the Jardin des Simples in the Middle Ages, and a beautiful chapel with its frame in the shape of an upside-down ship's hull, built by Ciboure shipwrights! Head for the Orangerie, where you'll find an exhibition on medicinal plants from the Basque region, and enjoy a moment of relaxation playing old-fashioned wooden games for young and old. The guide will then take you on a tour of the old parapet walk, where you'll be immersed in the history of the château, one of the last in the Basque Country to remain inhabited since it was first built in 1341. A guide will explain the architectural evolution of the building, against a historical backdrop.
