Often discreet to the untrained eye, the remains of antiquity are nonetheless numerous in southern Aquitaine. In towns and countryside alike, they bear witness to the Roman presence and the profound transformations that took place in these territories between the 1st and 5th centuries B.C. This talk takes us on a journey through Southern Aquitaine in Roman times, to understand how this society on the edge of the Roman world was structured.
