Journée du patrimoine de pays : visite du moulin

In L'Hôpital-Saint-Blaise, a small Souletin village, you'll discover the remains of a former hospital foundation.

This 12th-century Romanesque church boasts exceptional elements of Hispano-Moorish architecture. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the church is a must-see in our region. On the occasion of the Journées du Patrimoine de Pays, the "EYHEA" water mill, located on our interpretation trail, opens its doors to visitors. Take a guided tour to learn more about the mill and its history. Dating back to the end of the Middle Ages, and an annex of the commandery of the time, this water mill with horizontal wheels has its millstones and hoppers in working order. Its mechanism, typical of the south-west, adds to the historical and architectural interest of the village.
