2:30pm: Café-rencontre "réinstaller durablement le plein air": French agriculture is undergoing regulatory changes that call into question the possibility for farmers to raise their animals in the open air, without curbing the epidemics that affect their farms every year. And yet, the open-air environment is essential to the well-being of both animals and farmers.

4:30pm: Comedy play "Why chickens prefer battery cages". Ages 12 and up. But why do chickens feel the need to stick together, in conditions that seem so unenviable? In this talk, Professor Rouger, director of the School of Mobile Agriculture, discusses the rights of the hen and the living conditions of the egg.
