Fête de l'espadrille

Mauléon organizes its traditional espadrille festival with a program that's as attractive as ever.

All day long: tastings and sales of regional products, demonstrations of espadrille manufacture and explanations by sandal-makers, meals, musical entertainment.

- 10:30 am: Assumption mass sung by the Xiberoko Zohardia choir,

- 10:30 am: start of 5 km espadrille walk - Start and finish at Place Jean Lougarot,

- 10:45 am: start of 5 km espadrille race - Start and finish in Place Jean Lougarot,

- 11:00am: Bare-hand pelota game on the small fronton, with Soulet dances in between,

- 12:30 pm: Xiberoko Zohardia singers lead the aperitif with Soulet songs and dances,

- 2:30pm: Basque force,

- 4:30 pm: grand chistéra game,

- 6:30 pm to 9 pm: Xiberoko Zohardia singers under the bandstand.
