Festival de Jazz - Ciné concert
Ciné concert with Laurent Rochelle & Virgile Goller: "Paris qui dort" by René Clair.
One morning, the Eiffel Tower's janitor discovers that nothing is moving in Paris. Apart from him, only a small group of friends who have flown into the capital have escaped a mad scientist's paralysis ray. From now on, Paris belongs to them! An innovative idea (100 years before confinement), the fruit of the inspiration of a young man of 25, René Clair, one night in November 1922. Filmed the following summer, Paris qui dort (Paris asleep) features surprising visual effects and already reveals the filmmaker's singular, enchanting talent. A poetic and burlesque gem.
