Festival de Jazz - Adèle Viret 4tet

For her first quartet adventure, Adèle Viret returns to the piano of her childhood, celebrating the familiar and the essential. This impetus gives birth to a delicate music in which her cello dialogues with three accomplice musicians. The quartet develops a veritable chamber jazz, based on exchanges, permutations of instruments and great freedom of play. Between writing and improvisation, the compositions leave room for listening and sensitive complicity. The music travels gently between Mediterranean horizons and more uncertain, sometimes tempestuous landscapes. Tides, open spaces and youthful impulses run through this luminous, poetic writing. Adèle Viret was awarded the "Révélation" prize at the Victoires du Jazz 2025 awards.
