Lucie Malb%E9qui is interested in traditional headwear, particularly the Basque-Barnesian beret: she observes the contexts in which it is worn and documents the traditional techniques involved in its production, while connecting them to contemporary perspectives. This research has led her to collaborate closely with Sara Goupy, founder of Barnabé, the beret manufacturer in Orthez, as well as with experts in wool processing (spinning, weaving, felting, etc.).
