Exposition Eugène Marguerite
Dates
From 3 August 2026 to 15 August 2026
In 10 days
The work of Eugène Marguerite, a visual artist, revolves around figurative scenes in which the female body becomes a space of tension and revelation through concrete situations, sometimes imbuedwith a symbolic dimension. Eugène Marguerite explores the persistent inequalities between women and men, as well as the mechanisms of a gaze still largely shaped by a patriarchal system.
The work focuses on gender stereotypes; it prompts reflection on boy-girl relationships, the straitjacket of predetermined roles, and the education of domination and submission. The painting serves as a mirror reflecting the limitations on our freedoms and the barriers to our potential in the various spheres of our lives.
