Trained in contemporary dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, a performer alongside such emblematic figures as Béatrice Massin and Marie-Geneviève Massé, and founder of the Beaux-Champs company, Bruno Benne places the Baroque heritage in a dynamic of renewal. Rapides follows the thread of Handel?s music, revisited by composer Youri Bessières. With its minimalist white square, pared-down stage costumes, round cuffs and bourrée steps, the apparent simplicity of this light, bouncy piece gracefully conceals the complexity of its variations and the extreme precision of its perfectly codified movements.
