Emeki : Festival musical Féminin
All-female groups will perform at the Urrugne center during this festival;
4:00 p.m.: Marion Neira Faro “Manefa” is a singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist. Through
dreamlike and immersive neo-folk, she explores emotions tied to the fragility of the world,
nature, and existential questions.
6:00 p.m.: Neskena. The Neskena ensemble is made up of 10 young women who have practiced Basque dance
for many years as part of the traditional group in the village of Espelette.
Interlude: Las Flamencas de Catalina, a group of flamenco dancers.
8:00 p.m.: Miren Mey. A musician born in Bayonne in 1990, Miren Eyherabide “Mey” comes from a family of
musicians. She has been playing the piano since the age of 8 and composes primarily in
neoclassical and epic styles, while also exploring electronic, pop, rock, and folk music.
