Duo de violes de gambe: Ensemble Belombre

Bach, English Suites:

Louise Bouedo and Garance Boizot met in 2017 at the Conservatoire National

Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon in Marianne Muller’s

viola da gamba class. This encounter stemmed from a desire to transcribe the works of the

French harpsichordist Jacques Duphly. Bound by a natural rapport, Garance and Louise decided to sight-read, study, and experiment with this music for two viols. The transcription work began, and the Belombre ensemble was born.
