From the Middle Ages to the present day, from Hildegarde von Bingen to Aya Nakamura, DIVA Syndicat tells us a new history of Western music... the history of women! Ten centuries of forgotten women, invisible women—but above all, women musicians, composers, and performers—whom Gentiane Pierre and Noémie Lamour strive to help us (re)discover, bringing “matrimoine” back to the heart of our worldview. These two “Diva Syndicalists” present these musical geniuses—brought back into the spotlight—in a joyful and rhythmic way. Their goal is to restore female musicians to their rightful place—without lecturing... or maybe from the back of the classroom and on the desk!
