As part of the Anglet Summer Fest, this lecture will introduce you to the unexpected marine biodiversity of the Basque Coast.
The marine biodiversity of the Basque Coast is exceptional (100 species of shorebirds, 21 species of cetaceans...). Scientific studies and monitoring programs are being conducted to learn more about these species.
How are they distributed along the coastline? Which bird colonies are establishing themselves? What have we observed over the past several years regarding the impact of climate change?
Lecture led by Emilie Milon, research fellow at the Biarritz Marine Center.
Open to the general public ages 10 and up.
