the Cité de l'Océan welcomes Laurence Paoli, author of the book "Le chant perdu des baleines" (The Lost Song of the Whales), for an original conference entitled: "Quand la pollution sonore étouffe les voix de l?Océan" (When noise pollution drowns out the voices of the ocean).

The author will address a little-known issue with major consequences for marine biodiversity: the impact of noise generated by human activities on underwater fauna.

This conference will provide a better understanding of why the preservation of marine biodiversity today is directly linked to that of the ocean as a whole.
