Concert : Oxford Voices Consort

Having already been enthusiastically welcomed in Béarn in 2024 and 2025, the young professional musicians of the Oxford Voices Consort are returning to enchant us once again. Founded and directed by Mark Shepherd—a former chorister at Westminster Abbey, renowned organist, and choir director trained at Oxford— this consort of four women and four men, hailing from the prestigious universities of Oxford and Cambridge, offers an exceptional choral repertoire: Tallis, Gibbons, Byrd, Allegri, and many others, brought to life by voices that intertwine and blend. Likely joined by a cellist and an oboist—who were already applauded last summer—they promise a rare and accessible musical interlude: all you have to do is let yourself be carried away!
