For over a century, the harp has showcased the full range of nuances of the French school, admired worldwide for its elegance, virtuosity, and rich sound. This concert

celebrates that brilliance through three great performers—Valeria Kafelnikov, Annabelle Jarre, and Christine Icart—worthy heirs to this tradition of excellence.

Conceived as a celebration of this magnificent instrument, this program also pays tribute to the great Basque harpist Nicanor Zabaleta, whose 120th anniversary will be celebrated in 2027. A legendary performer and the dedicatee of numerous works, he inspired renowned composers and helped bring the harp into the modern era.
