Concert avec la chorale Lapurtarrak d'Ustaritz
LAPURTARRAK, which in Basque means "those from Labourd", is a mixed choir founded in March 1989 in Ustaritz, the historic capital of the province of Labourd.
From its creation until September 1999, the LAPURTARRAK choir was directed by conductor Jean-Claude Landart, also organist and harmonizer.
From October 1999 to October 2016, the choir was led by Marilys Daguerre, conductor and soprano singer. LAPURTARRAK was then directed by Yves Panizzoli, conductor and txistulari, trained like his predecessors at the Bayonne Conservatoire.
In 2024, he passed the baton to Sayonara Shhim, conductor and professional singer.
LAPURTARRAK brings together some thirty choristers. In its own concerts and at religious services, festivals and wedding blessings, the choir showcases the musical heritage of the Basque country.
