Aziz, a professor at Ankara University, receives the "yellow letter" arbitrarily notifying him of his dismissal. When his wife Derya, a famous actress at the national theater, receives it in turn, it is the coup de grâce for the couple. Both of them, condemned for their ideas, are forced to take refuge in Istanbul with Aziz?s mother. The compromise between this new precariousness and their political commitment will put their marriage to the test.
