In the French Pyrenees, the reintroduction of bears into a pastoral community reignites tensions within a mountain village. Some support conservation efforts, while others find their sheep killed. The film follows an aging shepherd and a teenager passionate about nature and animals. Both are fascinated by these bears and spend days and stormy nights deep in the mountains waiting for them, lying in wait for them, and catching them by surprise...
