For the past ten years, Dr. Steve Boyes has been searching for a mysterious and elusive herd of “ghost elephants” in the highlands of Angola. He sets out with Namibian trackers—the best in the world—but a fundamental question arises: wouldn’t it be better to keep these gigantic elephants as a dream, rather than to find them in reality? An exploration of dreams and imagination pitted against reality, which took Werner Herzog to what the local tribes call the Land at the End of the World.
