Cabaret textile-Le mouton dans l'art

For its 6th edition of Cabaret Textile, the Tram-e association invites you to its "Sheep in Art" conference. Long associated with the sacrifice of Christ in Christian culture, this animal has been recurrently depicted in Western painting and is still part of our landscape heritage. Whether it's black, Panurgean or five-legged, the aim is to show through its appropriation by artists that the sheep has not always served as a model, and that it has gradually become the medium and material for works that are both poetic and disconcerting.
