55 years ago, their very first record was released. Katia and Marielle Labèque celebrate this anniversary with 55, a project that reflects the breadth of their universe, from Ravel to Philip Glass, from Bernstein to Bryce Dessner, from Clara Schumann to Nina Simone. Revealed at an early age, they made a name for themselves in the 80s with international hits such as Rhapsody in Blue and West Side Story, and have continued to break down genre barriers ever since.

Tireless explorers, they commission, create and reinvent, and forge unique links with composers such as Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt. On stage, their complicity makes all the difference: a rare energy and dazzling precision.
