Domaine Bordenave

On the way out of Monein, going towards Oloron Ste Marie, the Bordenave domain is a few kilometers away from the village centre and the church of St.Girons. The estate is a family property which has been passed down through the generations since 1676. Today, it is the turn of Gisèle to dip her winemaking hands into the estate’s history. The Bordenave estate shows all the hallmarks of a family who want to make the very best wine from the land. In the vineyard and in the cellar, traditional methods work in synergy with ongoing technical innovation to make each harvest and each vintage the best it possibly can be. The estate produces nine different ranges of wine. Numerous concerts and exhibitions are organised all year round. Guided tours of the different cellars, explanations of the winemaking process, tastings and direct sales are all on offer for visitors.
