Clos Laplume

On the way into Monein, on a hillside overlooking the village centre and the church of St.Girons, the Clos Laplume is a traditional estate surrounded by vines. André Laplume relaunched the small family estate around 15 years ago. André and his daughter Camille greet guests in a beautifully converted barn, which features exposed pebble walls, light coloured timbers and a large farmhouse table. Visitors can tour the set up, including the traditional cask storage cellar. Two sweet and dry wines are on offer. These are made with Petit Manseng, the only grape variety grown on the estate.
