Monument aux morts 14-18, 39-45 et 1960 (Algérie)
The monument to the dead of Sare is located in the central square of the village. Inaugurated on 11 September 1920, it was created by Maxime Real del Sarte, himself a war-disabled man with his left forearm amputated following a wound near Verdun on 29 January 1916, the author of the monument to the dead of Ascain.
The sculpted group "Je t'ai chercher" is a work that was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1920 under the number 3396. The sculptor, Maxime Réal del Sarte is said to have taken as a model for the soldier lying Charles Eudes, one of his comrades who died at the front.
