Located in Pontacq, just 15 min from Lourdes and 30 min from Tarbes and Pau, the conservation room for local industry at Maison Rey reminds us of the town?s industrial past and ancient crafts.

Leatherworking developed here from the 19th century onwards, and Pontacq became a shoe capital in the mid-20th century, with some forty workshops and factories. The Patrimoine en Ribère Ousse association invites you to discover these local treasures, brought back to life by heritage enthusiasts, through educational panels, tools and machines.
