Espace culturel Uei en Gasconha

Uei en Gasconha (Today in Gascony) is an interpretation center for the Gascon language and culture, housed in an extension to the Tivoli cultural center. The aim of this new multimedia facility, the only one of its kind in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, is to offer visitors a dynamic look at a Gascony rooted in its time. The scenography is the result of work carried out in collaboration with various partners: the Musée d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux, the InOc Aquitaine (Occitan Institute) and the Aci Gasconha association, next door to the space.

The Interpretation Centre has no collection of its own, and presents an overview of the territory, history, language, evolution and aspects of Gascon culture through multimedia scenography, and schedules temporary exhibitions featuring small collections of objects.
