CIAP - Centre d'Interprétation de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine

The CIAP, named Lapurdum, is intended to raise awareness and educate all audiences about the architecture and heritage of our city.

From Antiquity to the present day, it offers keys to reading and understanding the architectural, urban and landscape evolution of Bayonne.

Several films depict the history and landscapes of the river and port city, as well as those of the districts outside the old center.

New in 2022: a film on street art in Bayonne.

An interactive table presents the evolution of the city from antiquity to the 21st century.

Two sound shows, dedicated to intangible heritage, can be discovered in the cellar.
